Birmingham and Walsall Accountable to: Location: Purpose of Role: To support, lead and participate in a range of social activities for adults with a range of learning disabilities. To develop and maintain relationships with individuals who have a learning disability. To engage individuals in existing and new opportunities as they arise within our Enterprise Hub. To support learning disabled people to participate in a wide range of community activities across Birmingham and Walsall To offer support and supervision to service users in line with the choices that they make. To research develop and deliver activities which will encourage individuals to make new friends and experience new opportunities in their lives. To assist in the preparation and delivery of motivational and learning activities, including taster sessions, for example safety and sport activities. To uphold and understand the rights of service users and support them to make choices based on their individual needs and preferences. To work creatively and flexibly in order to maximise the range of opportunities and experiences available to service users. To participate in regular feedback with the Service coordinator or senior. To have responsibility for locking up the building once sessions have finished. To understand key health and safety issues and give feedback on any possibly issues or concerns you may have regarding individuals who attend the sessions. SL 28/11/12 1 ? ? ? To have responsibility for monies and attendance sheets when activities are being held. Act at all times in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and in a way that will enhance the organisation’s reputation.
