  Abstract: This paper makes a brief analysis on the approach of the Task-based English Language Teaching. Task based language teaching approach is a very useful method which is commonly used in English language learning classroom for second language learners. During the several English teaching in the experimental English class, the author states a brief analysis on the language acquisition approach applied in the students reading, writing, listening and speaking.

  1 Introduction
   Nowadays, the students feel the English class difficult and boring, during my several years’ Teaching experience, however, it is much easier to learn if the English lesson is divided into some tasks. This teaching method is an approach which practices the students in order to complete some tasks. This is also called Task based language learning. This teaching approach can make the students study English actively and try their best to achieve the goal of each task of the specific unit. Besides, it is also a good teaching method for the English teachers.
  2 The advantages in the Task-Based English language teaching
   There are many good aspects in the Task-Based English language teaching. It is good to stimulate the students’ studying interest of learning English when they have completed their own tasks.
   During the process of the Task-Based English language teaching, the students not only improve their English knowledge, but also improve their ability of using their second language. Besides, the tasks combine the four language skills together and improve their ability of comprehension.
   The tasks lead the students to take part in the activities and rich their imagination and creativity, and it is good to make the students study on their own.
   The students are divided into several groups and each has their own task to finish. It is very good to train the students’ ability of teamwork and leadership.
   During the process of the Task-Based English language teaching, each of the students has the same chance to take part in the tasks and think by their own and form a good habit of studying actively themselves.
  3 The approach of the Task-Based English language teaching
   This research lasted one year from Sept 7 to Jan 3, 2011. The students of four classes in the local vocational institute are involved in the research.
   The students are required to prepare three cards in order to carry on each task smoothly: task achieving card, questionnaire recoding card, teamwork dividing card.
   Each class is to be divided into several groups, and each group will has its own group leader, reporter, monitor, writer, supporters. Their roles can be conducted in turns, which means every body can has the chance to be the reporter.
   The aim of interview is to explore the teachers’ understanding, attitudes, beliefs, and thoughts to TBLT and the difficulty that they meet in applying TBLT as well as the barriers that prevent the smooth implementation of TBLT. The interview was done by face-to-face talk.
   Observation includes two parts: classroom observation and reading teaching plans. About eight lessons were observed and fifteen copies of teaching plan were read during the research.
   Date collection and analysis Microsoft Office Excel was used in analyzing the statistics. Interview was done by face-to-face talk. Notes were taken during interview and later were arranged and summarized. Necessary notes were made to record the teaching procedures and classroom activities.
  4 A brief Analysis of the results
   The function of teaching materials should be changed. The task-based language teaching should be paid much attention to the results of the tasks. After each task we should evaluate the achievement of each student from different aspects. We should record the whole process of the learning and give each of them a card. The task-based learning activities practice the students not only their oral English, but also their practical English such as communication and the ability of teamwork. The students will feel a sense of satisfaction about completing somehow difficult tasks together. The result should be done equally and openly.
   At last, the results of the students should be announced. We can put their assessment car on the bulletin bored or we can make a kind of newspaper to show off their achievements. The students will feel very proud of themselves if they can be the stars of the students. This method can make a great progress in the development of the students four basic language learning skills: listening, speaking reading and writing.
  5 Conclusion
   From this essay, Task based language teaching is a very useful approach which seeks to allow students to work somewhat at their own pace . It moves away from a prescribed developmental sequence and introduces learner freedom and autonomy into the learning process. In somehow the teacher’s role is also modified to the learner’s helper.
